In February 2016, the Latin American transactional market generated an aggregate value of approximately USD 6.86bn, in mergers and acquisitions, equivalent to a 65% increase compared with the same period in the previous year.
The most active countries were Brazil with 44 deals recorded and an aggregate value of approximately USD 3.64bn, and Mexico with 20 deals and an aggregate value of approximately USD 2.05bn.
