The Mexican transactional market closed 2Q16 with 89 mergers and acquisitions of an aggregate value of USD 4.79bn, which entails a year-on-year decrease of 10.10% in the number of transactions and 64.02% in their value. In 1H16, there were 18 Private Equity deals and 15 Venture Capital, which add up to 33, the same number as in 1H15, though with 59.45% less moved capital than in that same period (USD 558.25 compared to USD 1.376bn). Thus far in 2016, two capital increases were completed in Mexico's equity capital market, carried out by Arca Continental and Grupo Hotelero Santa Fe, of USD 404.74m and USD 96.67, respectively.
