The Colombian M&A market registered 168 transactions in 2017, of which 68 had a combined non-confidential value of USD 3.28bn. These figures differ from those of 2016, which recorded 171 transactions with a combined non-confidential value of 85 deals of USD 23.3bn. In quarterly terms, 4Q17 recorded volume of 46 mergers and acquisitions, of which 26 had a combined non-confidential value of USD 433m, These figures reflect a 16,36% decrease in the number of transactions and a 97,31% decrease in their deal value, compared to 4Q16.
