There were 2,936 transactions worth a combined EUR 122.74bn in Spain in 2021, according to Transactional Track Record's Annual Report. The report provides a complete analysis of the most prominent cross-border transactions, as well as the sectors undergoing most consolidation, led by Real Estate with 578 deals. The league tables in the final pages of the report contain a ranking of the leading legal and financial advisors, based on transactions announced in 2021.
PORTUGAL
Transactional Track Annual M&A Report contains a breakdown of 553 deals announced or closed in 2021. The report also provides updated data on different aspects of the Portuguese M&A market, where Spain-based buyers led inbound investments. Spain was the preferred destination for outbound deals led by Portugal-based companies, meanwhile.
