SPAIN
The Spanish transactional market completed the first month of 2017 with 133 transactions for an aggregate value of EUR 3.5bn. These figures represent an increase of 0.76% in the volume of transactions and 0.22% in their value compared to January 2016.
The real estate sector is the most active of the month, with 29 transactions, followed by technology, with 23, and Internet, with 14.
PORTUGAL
Portugal's M&A market starts 2017 with 21 transactions, a decrease of 12.5% compared to last year. Eleven operations were reported, totaling € 713 million, a decrease of 2%.
The most active subsector was Technology, with five transactions and a 67% increase. For the last two years, the most active subsector was real estate.
