SPAIN
There were 1,548 transactions worth a combined EUR 70.42bn in Spain in the first seven months of 2021, according to Transactional Track Record's Monthly Report. The report provides a complete analysis of the most prominent cross-border transactions, as well as the sectors undergoing most consolidation, led by Real Estate with 313 deals. The league tables in the final pages of the report contain a ranking of the leading legal and financial advisors, based on transactions announced in the seven first months of 2021.
PORTUGAL
Transactional Track Record's July M&A Report covering Portugal indicates a 31% increase in transaction volume compared to 2020. The report provides updated data on the Portuguese M&A market, where Spain-based buyers led inbound investments. Spain was the preferred destination for outbound deals led by Portugal-based companies, meanwhile. The report also includes a breakdown of M&A activity by sector, alongside information and data related to Private Equity and Venture Capital investments. League tables in the final pages of the report rank the top legal and financial advisors by the volume of deals announced in 2020.
