SPAIN
In Spain, the first semester ended with figures similar to previous year, as far as closed deals, but with a slight decrease in investments volume.  June was particularly active, with some 70 deals registered, both announced and concluded. Highlights include cross-border activity, mostly Spanish companies selling its subsidiaries in Latin America. BBVA reached an agreement to sell BBVA PR Holding and BBVA Securities of Puerto Rico to Oriental Financial Group.

PORTUGAL
The Portuguese transactional market was quieter in June than in previous months, with less registered deals, but with some extraordinary surprises. ISA Sensing Anywhere became the first Portuguese company to be listed on NYSE Alternext. Furthermore, the technology and telecoms sector was particularly dynamic; while the financial sector has been among the most active for several months. Highlights include the conclusion of Cimpor's takeover. Brazilian group Camargo Corrêa acquired 94.81% of Portuguese company. The deal value was EUR 1,500m.
