In February 2016, the Latin American transactional market generated an aggregate value of approximately USD 6.86bn, in mergers and acquisitions, equivalent to a 65% increase compared with the same period in the previous year.
The most active countries were Brazil with 44 deals recorded and an aggregate value of approximately USD 3.64bn, and Mexico with 20 deals and an aggregate value of approximately USD 2.05bn.

In January 2016, the Latin American transactional market generated an aggregate value of approximately USD 8.99bn, which represents a 0.41% increase compared with the same period last year. However, the number of deals registered last month was 118, compared with 159 in 2015. Furthermore, the most active countries were Brazil with 70 transactions recorded and an aggregate value of USD 10.08bn; Chile with 18 deals and approximately USD 1.47bn; and Mexico with 22 deals and approximately USD 3.5bn.

The Latin American transactional market registered a total of 1,963 mergers and acquisitions, in 2015, generating an aggregated investment value of approximately USD 134.04bn. The most active countries were Brazil, with 1,017 deals generating approximately USD 69.69bn, Mexico, with 303 deals and approximately USD 35.30bn, and Colombia, with 179 deals and approximately USD 15.03bn.
 In terms of quarters, a total of 538 deals were recorded in the fourth quarter of 2015, which generated approximately USD 30.57bn, of which 137 were assets, 32 venture capital, and 39 private equity deals.

In November 2015, the Latin American transactional market registered an investment volume, in mergers and acquisitions, of approximately USD 9.94bn, which represents a 20.82% increase compared with the previous month.
The most active countries were Brazil, with 76 deals and an investment volume of some USD 8.11bn, Mexico with 22 deals and approximately USD 1.01bn.

Latin America - October 2015

In October 2015, the Latin American transactional market focused on asset transactions, registering 52 acquisitions that surpass the register from October 2014 in 30%.
With regards to the total mergers and acquisitions, 149 transactions, including announced and closed, were registered in Latin America in October 2015, with a total value of USD 7.89bn. The most noteworthy countries this month were Brazil, with 86 transactions and USD 6bn of circulated capital, and Mexico, with 23 transactions for USD 321.3m.
