In August, the Mexican M&A market registered 20 transactions with an aggregate value of USD 1.71bn. These figures reflect a decrease of 20% in the number of transactions and of 62% in their value, compared to August 2015. Out of the 20 registered deals, seven are low-market (deal value under USD 100), two are mid-market (between USD 100m and USD 500m), and one is high-market (over USD 500m). Additionally, of these, one is private equity and one is venture capital.
Meanwhile, so long this year, 196 transactions were recorded, with a joint deal value of USD 19.55bn, entailing a decrease of 9.68% in the number of transactions and of 28.31% in their value, compared to the same period of 2015.
