In February 2016, the Mexican transactional market registered a total of 20 mergers and acquisitions, generating an aggregate value of approximately USD 2.05bn, equivalent to a 11.11% increase in the number of deals and an 8.79% in its aggregate value, compared with the same period last year.
The most active sectors, so far this year, were the real estate with five deals, tourism, hotels and restaurants, and food and beverage, with four deals each, and distribution and retail with three transactions.
