Two Allen & Overy partners lead the Transactional Track Record (TTR) ranking dated July 2021 YTD, with Corporate/M&A partner Íñigo del Val (pictured left) in the first position with €12.3 billion from 13 deals, also leading the table by number of deals. He is followed by his colleague Fernando Torrente (pictured top centre) with €10.7 billion in 10 deals, also a Corporate/M&A partner.

Freshfields partner Armando Albarrán (pictured top right) and of counsel Ignacio Borrego (pictured bottom centre) share the third position, accumulating €10.3 billion in 4 deals, both from the firm´s Global Transactions group (encompassing Corporate/M&A, Capital Markets, Finance and Real Estate) in Spain, headed by Albarrán.

Allen & Overy counsel Teresa Méndez (pictured bottom right) follows fourth with €9.4 million in 6 deals, the only woman in the top ten dealmakers ranking, who was also ranked last year as a top dealmaker in the Spanish legal market. Lawyers from Allen & Overy, Garrigues, Clifford Chance and Freshfields complete the top ten list by deal value.

TTR also offered a top ten dealmaker ranking by number of deals, headed by Íñigo del Val with 13 reported deals and followed by Pérez-Llorca Corporate partner Javier Carvajal with 11 deals and Fernando Torrente with 10. Lawyers from Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, DLA Piper, DWF-RCD, Clifford Chance and Cuatrecasas complete the list, with two women lawyers: DLA Piper Corporate partner Teresa Zueco (9 deals) and Antitrust counsel Begoña Barrantes (8 deals).
