The mergers and acquisitions market in Latin America accounts for 37,000 million until May, 45% less

The mergers and acquisitions market in Latin America accounted for 39,540 million dollars (37,080 million euros) until May, 45% less than the same period of the previous year, according to data published by Transactional Track Record (TTR).

Regarding the number of transactions, these totaled 1,317, between announced and closed, 3% more than the previous year, of which 597 registered an investment of 39,540 million (37,080 million euros).

According to May data, by number of operations, Brazil led the ranking of the most active countries in the region with 930 operations (+9%), and a 42% decrease in mobilized capital, with 25,968 million (24,357 million euros) . Brazil was followed by Mexico, with 148 operations (+1%), and a decrease of 35% in the amount compared to May 2021, to 5,904 million (5,538 million euros).
