Transactions in Argentina decreased by 16% in 2020

The total aggregate value of transactions has dropped almost 62%

According to Transactional Track Record (TTR) platform, the number of transactions in Argentina in 2020 decreased by 16% compared to 2019. The total number of trades was 143, in comparison from 170 of the previous year. That keeps the tendency showed in each one of the quarters of the year. (See table below).

Notwithstanding this notorious decrease in the number of deals, the transactions’ total aggregate value reduction seems much more worrying. The value of the transactions is 61.74% lower than the past year. $2363 million is the total value of the transactions registered in 2020. 2019 closed with a total aggregate of more than $6175 million.

The United States remains as the origin of most of the investments in Brazil; something that has happened every year in the last decade. But the target country for Argentinians investors is the more close Brazil.
