According to Transactional Track Record's Monthly M&A Report, the Brazilian market showed a reduction in transactional activity in the first four months of 2018, compared with the same period of previous years. However, the total deal value exhibited a significant increase of 48%, bolstered by the announcement of four transactions that had a combined value of approximately BRL 14bn. The second page of the report provides a comparative analysis of the last 28 months, both in number of transactions and in deal value. Meanwhile, the pages allocated to the sectorial analysis present the most active segments, as well as the type of transaction in which they appear, including the origin of the received investments. The league tables in the last pages of the report reflect the activity of the legal and financial advisors, based on transactions announced in 2018 YTD.
