In August 2015, the Brazilian transactional market registered 57 deals, both announced and closed, and an investment volume of BRL 25.9bn, taking into account deals with disclosed values. When compared with the same period last year, the number of deals recorded a 35.2% decrease. The investment volume in August received a boost with Banco Bradesco's acquisition of HSBC Bank Brasil and HSBC Serviços. The total deal value was BRL 17.58bn. So far this year, a total of 607 deals were registered with an investment volume of approximately BRL 161bn.
