Brazil's M&A market recorded 74 transactions in May, an increase of 10% compared to the same month in 2016. Meanwhile, 34 operations had their values disclosed which exceeded R$ 12.7 billion, an increase of 48%. Despite the positive balance, May was the month with the lowest added value of Brazilian M&A market this year. The busiest sector year to date was Technology. The segment Financial and Insurance grew 38%.
