In the first six months of the year the Brazilian mergers and acquisitions market decreased by 7% in the number of transactions recorded in the same period last year. Were recorded 441 transactions which traded BRL 76.5bn taking into account transactions with disclosed value. Regarding the acquisitions by foreign companies in Brazil (Inbound transactions), have been recorded 99 transactions so far, the US being the largest foreign buyer, conducting 32 operations, representing a 33% reduction in the number of transactions recorded in same period last year.

In this period were recorded 44 transactions involving private equity companies in the Brazilian market, and 20 of them involved foreign companies.
