According to Transactional Track Record's monthly M&A Report, Spain's mergers and acquisitions market closed the first eight months of 2019 with 1,445 transactions and a moved capital of EUR 50.17bn. The report also provides a complete analysis about the most prominent transactions of the cross-border segment, as well as the market's most active sectors, which shows Real Estate is still the sector with the highest number of deals, with 396 transactions. Meanwhile, both the Private Equity and Venture Capital segments registered a downturn on this period regarding the number of deals, comparing with the same period the previous year. The league tables in the last pages of the report reflect the activity of the legal and financial advisors, based on transactions announced in 2019 YTD.

PORTUGAL

De acordo com o Relatório de M&A de agosto de 2019 do TTR - Transactional Track Record, o volume de fusões e aquisições no período entre janeiro e agosto registou aumento de 6,5% ante o mesmo período do ano anterior. Nas páginas dedicadas ao âmbido cross-border, as análises de correlação entre países estrangeiros investindo em Portugal e os subsetores alvo destes investimentos, permite constatar que as empresas com sede nos Estados Unidos continuam com interesse crescente por empresas portuguesas, foram 23 transações registradas no período. No cenário do Venture Capital, as transações registadas em Portugal neste período somaram 209 milhões de euros. As league tables, nas últimas páginas do relatório, refletem a atividade dos assessores jurídicos e financeiros, tendo em conta as transações anunciadas em 2019 year to date.
