The last quarterly M&A Transactional Track Record report of 2018 shows that both the number of transactions and the moved capital registered in the year are higher than those of 2017. The report also provides updated data on different aspects and behavior of the Spanish M&A market, such as the consolidation of the US as the foreign country making the most investments in Spain and of Portugal as the preferred destination for cross-border investment by Spain-based companies. Additionally, it includes sectoral information and figures of the Private Equity and Venture Capital segments, as well as rankings of the activity of the legal and financial advisors.

PORTUGAL

De acordo com o Relatório de M&A do quarto trimestre de 2018 do TTR - Transactional Track Record, o volume de fusões e aquisições no mercado transacional português somou 22,6 mil milhões de euros em 2018, crescimento de 70,1% comparado ao mesmo período de 2017. Nas páginas dedicadas ao âmbido cross-border, as análises de correlação entre países estrangeiros investindo em Portugal e os subsetores alvo destes investimentos, permite constatar que as empresas com sede nos Estados Unidos continuam com interesse crescente por empresas portuguesas, crescimento de 21% em comparação ao ano anterior. No cenário de venture capital, 2018 terminou com os melhores resultados dos últimos quatro anos. As league tables, nas últimas páginas do relatório, refletem a atividade dos assessores jurídicos e financeiros, tendo em conta as transações anunciadas em 2018 year to date.
