MercadoLibre (NASDAQ:MELI), a Buenos Aires, Argentina-based internet payment and money transfer manager, launched its payment platform MercadoPago in Uruguay, reported El Observador on 4 November 2016, citing MercadoLibre Head of Business Development in Uruguay Gustavo Degeronimi. Specifically, Degeronimi noted that, with the launch of MercadoPago, sellers using MercadoLibre in Uruguay will be able to offer the option to pay with credit or debit card. He added the company plans to complete the online shopping process in the country with the entry of Mercado Envíos in 2017, a service which standardizes deliveries through a local supplier.

MercadoLibre (NASDAQ:MELI), gestora de pagos por Internet y envío de dinero con sede en Buenos Aires, Argentina, ha introducido su plataforma de pagos MercadoPago en Uruguay, ha publicado El Observador el 4 de noviembre de 2016, citando al responsable de business development de MercadoLibre en Uruguay, Gustavo Degeronimi. En concreto, Degeronimi ha señalado que, con la introducción de MercadoPago, quienes utilicen MercadoLibre en Uruguay para vender podrán ofrecer la opción de pago con tarjeta de crédito o débito. Ha añadido que la empresa planea completar el proceso de compra online en el país con la llegada de Mercado Envíos en 2017, un servicio que estandariza los envíos a través de un proveedor local. |
