A consortium comprised of oil companies Sierra Oil & Gas, based in Mexico City, Talos Energy, based in Houston, Texas, and Premier Oil, based in London, UK, was the winner of blocks 2 and 7 in the first stage of Mexico's Ronda Uno energy tenders, reported CNN Expansión on 15 July, 2015. Block 2 covers a 194-km2 surface and is located opposite the Veracruz coast, while block 7 covers a 465-km2 surface and is located opposite the Tabasco coastline. Out of 14 blocks included in the tender, the Mexican government only allocated these two in the first stage (see related intel).

Un consorcio conformado por las petroleras Sierra Oil & Gas, con sede en México D.F., Talos Energy, con sede en Houston, Texas, y Premier Oil, con sede en Londres, Reino Unido, ha resultado ganador de los bloques 2 y 7 de la primera fase de licitaciones de Ronda Uno del gobierno mexicano, ha publicado CNN Expansión el 15 de julio de 2015. El bloque 2 cubre un área de 194 km2 y está ubicado frente a las costas de Veracruz, mientras que el bloque 7 cubre un área de 465 km2 y se encuentra frente a las costas de Tabasco. De los 14 bloques licitados, solo estos dos fueron adjudicados en esta primera fase (ver intel relacionado). |
